About Winfield Woods

At Winfield Woods Healthcare Center, a 138-bed intermediate and skilled nursing care facility, our mission is to offer residents the finest in high-quality and individualized care during their stay with us. Our dedicated healthcare professionals are committed to offering each resident the assistance they require by meeting their clinical and psychological needs and enriching their lives daily with compassion and excellence in service. Our Psychological Rehabilitation programs are designed to recognize the individuality and potentials of each resident.

The Short Term Rehabilitation programs at Winfield Woods Healthcare Center combine the traditional physical, occupational, and speech therapies with the ability to treat psychological and emotional needs of each individual. The ability to adapt our programs to the individual resident is what sets Winfield Woods Healthcare Center apart.

Winfield Woods is located in DuPage County, only 15 miles from Aurora and 1 mile from Central DuPage Hospital. Situated along the banks of the DuPage River, Winfield Woods Healthcare Center provides an ideal setting for residents coping with an acute and/or long-term illness or short-term disability.

Meet Our Staff

About Nora O'Gorman

Nora has been the Administrator since May 2007. She has worked in long-term care since 1985 and has held various positions in Dietary, Activities and Social Services over the years. She graduated from St. Xavier University in Chicago with a B.A. in Sociology and Gerontology. She worked as an Assistant Administrator in a long-term care facility for two years before becoming a Licensed Nursing Home Administrator in 1996.She has been an Administrator ever since. To add to her accomplishments, Nora graduated from Lewis University in Romeoville with an M.A. in Counseling Psychology in 2006.

About Binu George, RN

Binu is the Director of Nursing at Winfield Woods Healthcare Center. She is licensed Registered Nurse who has been in sub acute care for the past 7 Years. Binu studied Nursing in India, and has a Degree in Nursing and Midwifery. After moving to the US with her family, she started her nursing career in sub-acute nursing as a staff nurses. Gaining recognition for her excellent care, she headed the creation of the orthopedic rehabilitation program. She then took on the position of Director of Nursing, where she focused on staff development and exceptional patient care. She received the recognition of having no hospital readmissions in her area. She lives in the Fox Valley area with her husband and her two daughters. Her nursing philosophy stems from Jean Watson, which focuses on creating a caring relationship between the nurse and the patient.

About Marion Drennan, RN

Marion was born in Germany and moved to the US in 1991. She has raised 2 sons, and has 2 cats living in Elgin for the past 9 years. Marion graduated from Nursing School in 1989, and has worked in LTC since 1995.
